I know this is a book blog, but I had to share my latest obsession, and it's not book-related. Well, a little bit, but not how you might think.
I recently visited LUSH, a cosmetic store. I went to one eons ago when there was only one in Orlando and that was just too far for me to invest any kind of feelings into the store. I bought a bath bomb and then promptly forgot the store ever existed after using it.
HOWEVER, a store recently opened up 20 minutes away from me and I went in looking for end-of-year gifts for co-workers (I felt it was more unique than stopping at the usual Bath & Body Works). As a treat to myself, I bought a small sliver of Karma soap.
O.M.G.! Not only does is smell amazing; my skin has never been softer. The fragrance lasts all day long. I have even thought: I smell delicious/fabulous/amazing! Seriously, if you haven't tried it - GO! BUY! EMERSE YOURSELF!
But this is only my small obsession. My newest one started about 20 minutes ago. Not having enough Karma soap to last me the month, I went back for more and ended up getting caught up in one of the store's "Try Me" tables filled with face masks. I bought one spur of the moment to try out: BB Seaweed. It didn't smell great, but a pair of gorgeous blue eyes and charming smile will get me to buy anything, apparently. I just treated myself to the mask and I cannot stop touching my face! It is so so so so so SOFT. Like, I can't even describe it, soft.
How is this kinda book related? While waiting for the mask to do its magic, I read a few pages of my new book, Confession by Colleen Hoover. I think I may have found my new favorite author for the summer...
