“For the two of us, home isn’t a place. It is a person. And we are finally home.” - Anna

Can Anna find love in the City of Light?
Anna is happy in Atlanta. She has a loyal best friend and a crush on her coworker at the movie theater, who is just starting to return her affections. So she’s less than thrilled when her father decides to send her to a boarding school in Paris for her senior year.
But despite not speaking a word of French, Anna meets some cool new people, including the handsome Etienne St. Clair, who quickly becomes her best friend. Unfortunately, he’s taken and Anna might be, too. Will a year of romantic near misses end with the French kiss she’s waiting for? Goodreads

“I wish for the thing that is best for me.” Anna

I have wanted to read Anna and the French Kiss for quite a while and I finally finally bought it. I had heard such great things about it and it didn’t disappoint.
I will say, though, that I have never (not ever) wanted to whack two people upside the head so badly in my life. Dear Lord, Anna and Etienne were SO frustrating! Like, they were adorable as frack, but they were also just as frustrating. So many “missed” chances and misunderstandings. Not to mention the friend and girlfriend drama. Maddening. Etienne sure took his time figuring out what the heck he wanted.
But I did love the read. It took a day or so to get through because I just couldn’t put it down.
I also enjoyed the book, because it took me down memory lane. It reminded me of the summer I visited Paris and I loved reliving my time in Paris while Anna was exploring it. From Notre Dame to the Nutella crepes, I reminisced through it all. It made me want to go back so bad.
I cannot wait to get my hands on the sequel!

“I love you as certain dark things are loved, secretly, between the shadow and the soul.” - Etienne
